Having watched all three of the main programmes, I think ITV News/ITN should be applauded for their coverage.

Alastair Stewart (or Al as Julie referred to him!) and Julie Etchingham were excellent hosts.

The studio and graphics were very effective and looked far better than those offered by the BBC and Sky at far greater cost.

Congrats to all at ITV News/ITN. Very Happy

He probably is. Hope he finds a better bloke to interview later. "What are you doing?" "Watching the election".

Has the BBC now stopped news updates? And freeview EPG still displaying Bog It! is on at 15:45.

There was a news update at 1300. They weren't necessarily hourly in the section I saw last night. More every 75-90 minutes.

Seems like the BBC are getting ready to have some sort of Saturday coverage - Jake Humphrey is reporting on his Twitter account that the F1 coverage which was meant to start at 12:15pm tomorrow (after the normal 10min weekend bulletin & 5min nations/regions local updates) is now on at 12:45pm, due to the election:

So here's the rub...due to the election shenanigans we're now live at 12.45pm tomorrow so don't be alarmed if tuning in at 12.15! RT please!

I wonder if this has/will gone/go on longer than 2000 Today..

2000 Today was over 24 hours long. Around 28 hours according to Wikipedia. It was certainly longer than this by far in the UK at least.

Well 2000 Today went for 28 hours & 15 minutes - Election 2010 has currently gone for 16 hours & 40 mins, don't think it will reach 2000 Today lengths. Unless these discussions goes until Mon/Tues.

Well what else can he do, given the situation? There's no easy way forward.
