Anyone able to say what the American Broadcasters were or are doing about the Gen. Election... Fox News in particular...

I had a couple of brief looks at Fox News last night and they were talking about American issues. I may have missed a mention of the UK elections, but they certainly didn't have any special coverage.

It appears that CNN were the only ones to bother, I should have not been so silly to ask... knowing that because it doesn't affect them they won't cover it. When I'm proud to live in the UK and have news broadcasters that cater for foreign as well as domestic home issues.

I'd forgotten that GMTV actually has a decent reporter in Richard Gaisford, who has had/is having a big presence on ITV News' election programmes today.

ITV News proving they can run a semi-news channel on ITV1 and they still have the knowhow to do it (I miss the ITV News channel!)

CNN international has had rolling coverage since 10 pm last night. CNN US only simulcast first few minutes of Int. when they announced poll results.

1300: A Facebook group has been set up with the name "Cool it! We're not going to form a new government just to suit 24-hour news". Founded by some of the people behind civic-action group Democracy Club, it says: "The rolling news channels are trying to make this urgent. It can wait a few days to be done in a stable and longer-term fashion."

The EPG has changed to show the regional news is on BBC One at 13:15 but Gordon Brown is to speak 'soon' so maybe it won't be.

At the start of 'Breakfast' at 9am, they previewed that there would be weather updates and one of the weather team was stood outside waiting to do their forecast (in typical Breakfast style). Did they actually ever do any weather as I can't recall seeing any?
