So it's looking like it'll have to be a Tory/ Lib Dem pact, a Tory minority government or another election then, as Labour and the Liberals don't have enough seats to meet the 326 marker.

BBC and Sky both now projecting a Hung Parliament . . .

If anyone's interested: On BBC WORLD NEWS George Alagiah is currently anchoring from Westminster with Stephanie Flanders in charge of the video wall in N8.

Unless the Tories get every single one of the 36 seats left to declare, it's mathematically impossible. Even less likely what with 2 of those 36 being in NI and Scotland.

Are you sure it's N8? (he says not being able to see himself) she was at the London Stock Exchange earlier which looks similar.

Hung Parliament officially declared.

The question is how many seats the liberals and labour can now gain - if the liberals stay put then Labour need 29 more in order for the two to get a majority between them. Otherwise they'll need the others - such as Plaid Cumri, independents and the DUP, to meet the 326 marker.

And, as James Lansdale was saying earlier, will the liberals - apparently damaged in this election rather than even staying put - risk a future election result by teaming up with Labour?

Poor ITV. Failure of the sound on the vital Nick Clegg speech they've been building up to there all morning. Was that specifically ITV's coverage that failed (as after a few seconds they seemed to switch to the same feed as the BBC), or did other broadcasters have problems?
