I believe Julie Etchingham and Mary Nightingale will also be making appearances within GMTV.
Watching James Mates giving analysis from Downing Street is great, very informative - gives one an idea of what an "ITV News at Breakfast" or some such would feel like if it did exist.
So just for the record . . . Sky are also staying with Boulton and co at 6am.
GMTV have James Mates reporting from Downing Street. As advertised, John Stapleton and Lorraine Kelly anchoring. GMTV's GFX actually bear a resemblence to Jeremy Vine's scheme.

Indeed . . . and, given GMTV seemingly now have a very different programme than they probably expected, perhaps they will play a slightly increased role.
I say a 'different' programme in the sense that they had probably expected most of the results to be declared by now and a much clearer picture to describe, rather than a breaking story as it is at the moment.

Election 2010 Breakfast titles too.
London update on BBC News Channel, and Asad Ahmed sitting in front of a horrible technicolour backdrop of the capital in the studio. Truly horrible, quite unnecessary, and looks completely out of place on the 'wide' shot handover to the weather wench.
The BBC London set is looking as small and terrible as ever - yes, even with the lipstick-on-pig addition of the garish London skyline backdrop - and the whole thing looks like it's coming from Asad's garage.

I have to say that, apart from the 'breaking news' element of seats being declared, GMTV is proving to be excellent. John Stapleton is superb as usual, however Lorraine is complementing him nicely with a more relaxed, friendly approach. And a nice mix of GMTV reporters, plus Julie Etchingham's virtual graphics and James Mates at Downing Street. Emma Crosby is at Buckingham Palace. Decent-looking and informative ticker as well.

Although a distinct lack of Nick Clegg's speech and a bit of a poor show not extending the regional bulletins (unless they're usually shorter than that? I don't normally watch GMTV).

Admittedly I was surprised when they cut away.
