Asa, I believe Northern Ireland are opting out of BBC1 regularly, while keeping the UK-wide show on BBC2 in the province, minus opt-outs. NI have just opted out following Fiona's 10-30 news bulletin.

NI now opting out . . . thankfully. I agree with Asa . . . a little bit uncomfortable that BBC NI managed a good 45 minutes of exactly the same thing on BBC1 and BBC2.

I'm certainly finding the BBC's coverage far more interesting so far - guests are pretty good and the coverage itself is fantastic.

Although whilst the studio looks brilliant I think the graphics look a little dull. Sky News wins on this part for me - picture quality is bob on.

Mark Simpson wasn't in Belfast on the BBC's coverage as stated on the Aston, looks like he's in Newtownards where the (relatively important) Strangford and North Down counts are happening.
