is this the first time Lizo Mzimba has done "adult news"?

They've obviously given up - I don't recall ever seeing ads on the actual election night coverage. (Not so sure about the Friday daytime.)

I suppose every penny counts these days!

Rather strange on ITV, Nick Robinson sitting to JD's left means there is only room enough for 2 political pundits, at the moment it's David Owen and Michael Portillo with Nick Kinnock live from Chicago(!)

This is the first election I've been really interested in. Do they always put this much emphasis on the exit poll? Can it really be that accurate?

I'm quite surprised at the very blue-tinted studios on both ITV and Sky - normally they go for a mixture of the party colours or something neutral, but this year they haven't bothered.

Yes, they put a lot of emphasis on it. Not always accurate, just look back to 1992.
