This is brilliant. Well worth staying up for.
Definitely. But his interviewing style is sometimes said to be rude...
The interviewee is George Galloway

Compared to the 2001 general election, BBC One was marginally down by an average of 400,000 viewers, with ITV1 down by 300,000 viewers on the same period.
Five’s first foray into election night coverage saw just 64,000 viewers opt for the channel between midnight and 6am.

How long have ITN been using ENPS? Caught a glimpse of it on a computer just behind the guy in their newsroom...
Was always under the impression they used different software to the BBC?

Snazzy little effort on BBC1 NI as well, the Newsline studio has beeing given a darkened makeover complete with black straps that zoom animate like News 24 (you know what I mean) and slip and slide like network.
What a fab studio the Beeb had last night though, Peter Snow's balcony was great with steps and the *clunk* *whirr* *clunk* swingometer.

I watched the BBC last night and I enjoyed the banter between jeremy paxman and the rest of the panel that joined him.
Overall though i must say that i am a little disapointed with fives coverage this year. Compared to their last election coverage which featured the wright stuff extra and dedicated party correspondents with the likes of martin bell and job gilbert wandering around the country in his white jacket. a reporter in a mini witha british flag on the top just isnt the same.
come on five and sky sort yourselves out

I'm a little miffed after coming across the Election Bus at my uni here in Manchester. There's nothing mentioned on the site - anyone know what they're doing with it now?
(And yes, I was rubbing my winky with excitement)

I watched the BBC for the vast majority of the night and was very impressed, a good studio and guests. Their graphics were superb, great on screen and virtual, the battleground gave great insight into the really important seats.
The highlights were Galloway making a fool of himself twice and Blair being forced to listen to Keys' speach in his constituency.
I didn't see much of Sky or ITV, but ITV appeared to be quite cheap looking graphics wise and Sky although their ticker was nice, made it look too cluttered on screen.
Finally, the BBC's two studio desks, both fantastic!

Midlands Today had a special titles sequence this lunchtime for Election coverage. Was this the same in other BBC regions.
