This is brilliant. Well worth staying up for.
Definitely. But his interviewing style is sometimes said to be rude...
The interviewee is George Galloway
The Prime Minister has arrived and got off his "Air Force One"...

Well, to those who've stayed up - thanks for your company.
Off to bed for me now. Here's my final thought:

I've been flicking through the three main coverers of the event (ie BBC, ITV and Sky), and these are my thoughts.
At the risk of upsetting the Sky-lovers here again, it's another case of fine coverage and analysis, but awful presentation and superfluous information.
I appreciate that some people will want that much information plastered all over their screens, but for me, it's far too much. How much of the screen was taken up with it?
The interactive service is particularly clunky and adds nothing to any understanding or analysis of the event (except for the helpful text which appears as part of the normal service anyway).
With so many talented journos (doing a fine job tonight), why oh why do Sky cheapen their message by presenting in the way they do?
The Sky News studio also looks quite cheap and tacky.
ITV News is half-way decent.too, but the revised 'Theatre of News' (which I normally like) looks poor. Thankfully, very little screen clutter.
The adverts are a huge distraction (as on Sky), but they have to pay for the coverage (or at least offset some of the cost) somehow.
In my opinion, the BBC coverage of the event was the best. The analysis and coverage of the counts was very good (although not spectacularly better than the others).
Pres-wise, I much prefered the BBC's far more understated approach with on-screen graphics. A simple counter showing the number of won seats and on-screen flashes giving results is really all that is required.
The BBC wins on all counts - pres-wise by a mile, and in terms of watchability and analysis by not so much.

Well, this has been a more technical, and harsh election night and campaign. The last election, still had the rural country pub feel to it, now its all viciousness, poison and cold.
Lets hope that next time round, there is a much more positive campaign, and lets hope that whoever gets into power, gets in because people like them, rather than choosing the least worse of a bad bunch.

Notice we are being called "North" instead of "Yorks & Lincs"!
