... are other English regions opting out as per South West where the only opt is a caption over the BBC Eng/NI reduced from 16:9 to 14:9?

Think this year the regions are using the caption to give results. over the last few elections they've pulled back on live coverage - putting all the effort into producing good output at Breakfast time which is when most viewers will be waking up wanting to know who has won in their areas etc.

Are Meridian's and Central's opts pan-regional or sub-regional?

This ITV "celebrity party" has actually had some quite interesting and varied guests, eg. Ian Hislop, Gremaine Greer, Greg Dyke, Thatcher etc.

Sky didn't miss Hove, it snapped up on screen but only Michael Thrasher picked up on it.

At the last election it was ITV, then BBC and Sky in terms of results. From memory, Sky declared a final result about 30 seconds after the Beeb.

I prefer their vidiprinter style to the others, though. Sky have also been very quick with recounts, whereas the others haven't bothered.

BBC managed to miss Keighley, for some reason, given the BNP leader was standing there.

Overall, solid coverage all round, though I keep turning over to ITV and they are playing a board game.

Sky's Vidiprinter is great, I hope they put up a transcript on the website at some point, with the time of entry, just to look back at the colours, patterns and frequencies...

I Have BBC on a portable TV, ITV on the Bigger Screen, and Sky News on my PC, for capturing images, with only the sound from Sky...

I'm flicking between Sky and the BBC on my TV, with mostly ITV on my laptop.
