With the General Election taking place tomorrow, which news channel do you plan to watch for coverage of the event?

I know that some (maybe most) TVF members will probably switch between all of them, but which one do you plan
to watch the most throughout tomorrow evening and the early hours of Friday morning as the results come in?

Anything wrong with watching BBC ONE? Seems you've missed that out of the list...

BBC ONE was excluded from the list because it is not a news channel. It'll be simulcasting BBC News 24 on the night
anyway, just like ITV1 is will be simulcasting with the ITV News Channel. So if you intend to watch mostly BBC ONE
for the results of the General Election, you can select BBC News 24 from the list of options on this poll.

ITV News for me, but if they decide to have mass breaks, I'll switch to the BBC!

Which they will! It'll be one of their key revenue evenings after all.

I was wondering why do BBC ONE start at 9.55? I wasn't expecting them to start until 10.15 giving enough time for a breif news summary. Either way I'll be watching BBC ONE coverage.

Short memories...last time they ran uninterrupted overnight.

So they can announce exit poll results at 10pm sharp (they are banned from doing so before polls close). They will probably go for some other news at 10.15 or so, the first result doesn't come in until around 10.40 and there are only 3 or 4 total expected before midnight.

I shall start with Dead Ringers, then ten minutes of BBC One Wales, then Bremner, Bird and Fortune (A Bunch of Counts), then spend the night channel-hopping, but returning regularly to Huw on BBC One Wales.

Though advertless, ITV will be breaking into their coverage with a load of irrelevant pap.

I refer to the 'party on the Thames', of course.

In fairness, I'm not sure what the point of this thread is when we are already discussing election night coverage in the Election 2005 thread, and when in under 24 hours time an 'Election Night' thread will doubtless be pinned to the top of the forum.

Must say, I find that a bit odd.

I suppose SOME coverage is better than nothing; but those with Sky can already get BBC One Scotland, Freeview people will just get the stupid little postage stamp in the corner.
