Studio B actually looked far less impressive than it does day to day, but overall it just didn't work. I do think NBH could work on election nights but they need to be much more creative about how they use it and make it feel like one space rather than separate studios by building the coverage around the newsroom, Studio E and the balcony rather than Studio B or C.
Be nicer and more tolerant to each other. Them's the rules.

The problem then is how do you fit the set up / rehearsals around the day-to-day programming requirements.

The problem of relocating shows from Studio B was solved this time around so there can always be a solution. As long as the solution isn't the studio Newsnight were forced into.

Still prefer Studio D at BBC Elstree... it had more authority and the weeks Ten coming from there looked fabulous.
Plus, how many millions were spent upgrading connectivity to the site ?

The connectivity at Elstree was still used for the 2019 GE. And it is also used for programming such as Children in Need, I believe.

Yes even though the studio and gallery were in Broadcasting House, the election 'hub' at Elstree was operational and doing the news gathering and handling all the results and pictures coming in from around the country.
Election 2019, Behind the Scenes, as you'll see this was/is all at Elstree: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p07xpgph

I wonder if this will be a clean feed or with the original captions as seen on the night? The two most recent comparisons for election re-broadcasts are 1997 and 2001, and '97 always gets aired as a clean feed without the captions, while 2001 (on its one repeat from 2011) did include the captions but was noticeably low quality, still 16:9 SD but looking like it was recorded from an off-air feed with a lower resolution.,

A lot of the connectivity is only used for election coverage but they've got a lot more use out of it than they were expecting to.
A lot of the kit is hired in for each election too

I realize that the BBC needed dedicated space for producers for the remote feeds and all that. Is it the connectivity that’s limited (lack of bandwidth via fiber or limited satellite receivers at Wood Norton) in the use of NBH if they had the space?

Don’t let anyone treat you like you’re a VO/SOT when you’re a PKG.
