I saw him on Sunrise earlier this week.

What has happened to Robert Nisbett (sp) on Sky News?
I thought he, along with Burley, was supposed to be in Rossendale and Darwen throughout the campaign. I've seen him about twice, whereas she has been on almost constantly.
Is he still there, or has she eaten him alive?

This afternoon's BBC News 24 had a new feature on it which I hadn't noticed before. Louise Minchin went behind the wall!!... and proceeded to interview Nick Higham and some other BBC analyst at their desks! You can see where Minchin was in the second pic, just over John Sopel's shoulder!

Want another reason to ban all BBC Scotland productions?
Biggest news story of the day? The attorney general's document perhaps?
Biggest interview of the day? The foreign secretary perhaps?
What do Scotish viewers get instead of Jack Straw being manhandled by Paxman? Newsnight Scotland- on whether "local issues" will decide marginals.
Utter BOLL*CKS
Piss poor.
A disgrace to all Scotish viewers with any intelligence. I've switched off and I imagine most of the country has.
Ditch Newsnight Scotland- f*ck it- ditch BBC Scotland.

Slightly away from the election, but still banging on about Newsnight- the Paxman interview with Martin McGuinness on the report placing him and Gerry Adams on the IRA Army Council was excellent (roughly as follows).....
Paxman: Do you think people should know whether their elected officials are members of military council of an organisation devoted to thugary and burglary?
McGuinness: Jeremy, I've answered that question already. Now will you ask a sensible question?
Paxman: Yes I will- Do you think people should know whether their elected officials are members of military council of an organisation devoted to thugary and burglary?
McGuinness: *Squirms slumping in chair* This is a waste of time- why don't you ask me a sensible question- the people-
Paxman: I will ask a sensible question: Do you think people should know whether their elected officials are members of military council of an organisation devoted to thugary and burglary?
Etc.
Run out of time...not quite 14 questions, but McGuinness looked a tit- and like a terrorist in a suit.
It's just a shame that Scottish viewers would never get the McGuinness and Straw inteviews (the two major news stories)....but poorly produce drivel instead of one them. Poor show, almost too poor for words.

He's not TV shy today tis Mr Blair, he was on both Granada Reports and North West Tonight earlier, not Live though. Though the Granada interview wasn't that good as they kept talking about the Liverpool v Chelsea match, considering the fact that Blair said he was a Newcastle Utd fan.

Curious to see Adam Boulton in his 'final thought' tonight, his comments went along the lines of:
"So what did I make of the party leaders? Well, I think it would be entirely improper for a political journalist to voice any opinion as to his views, that's assuming that I have any''.
Kick in the teeth for anyone at Sky who thought they might 'Fox-it-up' a little.

They're really good, despite what I think of the party, the Tory one is fantastic. You can see all three at the channel 4 site.
Anyone have any idea what the song in the Tory one is called?

By coincidence or otherwise, Media Monkey asks the same question:

Sky hits the (yellow brick) road
It's been 16 days now since Kay Burley and Robert Nisbet, the Dorothy and Toto of Sky News, descended on the good people of the marginal Lancashire seat of Rossendale and Darwen. Burley has been very much in evidence, judging by the Sky News picture gallery, dazzling the locals with her extensive wardrobe. It can only be a matter of time before the ruby slippers appear. Today, La Burley even managed to work a "We're not in Kansas now... " reference into a link from an item on the sale of Judy Garland's Wizard of Oz dress. But poor old Nisbet hardly seems to have been allowed out of his basket. Remember, Robert: there's no place like home... there's no place like home...
