From above it does look a bit awkward - but it has created some variety in the studio and some new shots!

For BBC News 24, do anyone know the "election bus" section would be live at what time, apporximately, of every hour?
Thanks!!

They have just shown it a while back around 16.35 ish.
I would imagine it would be every other Hour bout the same time.

new election titles on the Six, but as usual Scotland missed the opt. Really someone should be fired, they've missed the titles every single day for the last two years.

Today saw the start of Sky's full election programming:
Arrow Kay Burley was presenting live from their 'swing seat' in the North West
Arrow Colin Brazier was presenting reality checks in the newsroom during Sky News Today, and in front of a CSO screen for Live at Five.
Arrow David Bowden has been out and about in the Sky Copter, today in Scotland.
Arrow Billy Bragg also did quite a funny If I was Prime Minister.

Altogether it seems quite good, as was talked about before, more analysis etc and less continuous live press conferences.

Tim Marshall's packages for Live at Five and the evening bulletins have been fantastic, really useful to get an overview of what happened during the day, while cutting out most of the crap the politicians have been talking. His slightly sarcastic style is working quite well.

As far as the graphics, the main strap seems to be working OK now, but the graphic at the top with the place name and majority never lines up, so looks crap.

Is that swoosh in and out of the breaks the best Sky can do for the Boulton Factor?

I thought ITV News got off to a distinctly lacklustre start with its election coverage today - particularly the News Channel, which apart from Alastair's programme this morning doesn't seem to be making even a token effort to match News 24 and Sky's election extravaganzas. I hope they raise their game over the coming days.

Nick Robinson, John Ray et al are very good, though.

Boulton Factor is as interesting as ever, but I'm finding it revolting to hear him say 'The Factor' in true O'Reilly style.

It could never be that bad, because Boulton isn't a psychopath, but it does sound awkward when you know the association with Fox.

Why not 'the Boulton Review' or Report, or Hour, or anything but the Factor!

LOL Laughing Im guessing you didn't like it when they had Richard Littlejohn on at 7pm. I always thought they would get him back when they relaunched the primetime line-up.

The ITV desk didn't look so bad on the 10.30

Certainly better lit than on the news channel
