Note the seat covers on the BBC's election bus were originally intended to be red - they are now grey

As expected, Jonathan Dimbleby doing ITV's election night coverage with Nick Robinson and Katie Derham and Mark Austin are doing something as well.

Back to the BBC, and how much coverage did they actually have last general election? According to the press release, BBC One seems to be carrying coverage from Thursday evening non stop to after the One O'clock News on the Friday lunchtime - did this happen last time?

It's public service broadcasting- they broadcast non stop, we get bored and walk out the house to the polling station.

And just for political balance after cat's assertion that Howard looking a bit 'ruffled by Flight', I thought Blair nearly lost it in his press conference with repeated questioning about how long he's going to serve as prime minister.

I thought Jon Snow's question (which Blair fobbed off as petty and one previously answered) was actually a hell of an important one- Blair wants a mandate for 5 years but won't tell the public when he'll quit, but will tell us that he'll definitely go before 2009. I think that comes across as remarkably arrogant, and the attitude Blair had to the journalists today should ensure they keep on asking it (the Tories and Lib Dems won't ask it since Brown seems to rate higher than Blair nowadays).

It's funny, though; you'd think Blair would want to make more of the fact that people are really voting for Gordon!

Channel4 have just had a spectacular cock-up on the news. They played an interview with Oliver Letwin, but somehow managed to include only the Westminster feed, and not Jon Snow asking the questions. As a result, it looked like Letwin was going a bit mental, stopping and starting - obviously when Snow was interrupting - and pausing whilst questions were being asked. It was fantastic; they should do it like that all the time!

They broke away after a bit, and Jon Snow said "that was a bit of an experience!"

God don't you just love it when the broadcasters try so, so, so hard to reverse apathy.

Sad thing is- that's really only for the rest of the media to see- they must feel like pillocks.

Also is it just me, or is there less blue than either red or yellow on the BBC's election logo (just talking about hte round target bit)?

I have a question about those pollster people that they role out at an election, are they affiliated to any one broadcaster ?

I notice that Peter Kellner is doing a lot for Sky at the moment, but come election night, doesn't he normally pop up on BBC coverage ? There is another one, Anthony King I think ? And that other funny looking guy.

Well Sky seem to have tied up a deal with YouGov- they'll probably be doing exclusive work with them producing polls every few days.

Don't see why the other pollsters who work for specific agencies should be tied down to only one network- didn't we read recently that the BBC and ITV have come together with (I think) MORI for a combined Exit Poll on election day.

Not sure about them working with Sky exclusively as ITV have been using a YouGov poll today.

BBC.co.uk are also using YouGov polls.

Well, ITV and the BBC will 'use' YouGov polls, but they are quoting the Sky polls.

If you read the articles you will see that it says 'A YouGov poll for Sky News....' or 'A Sky/YouGov poll'.

The BBC were quoting an ITN poll yesterday. It's routine.
