Because I'm at a top university unlike you. So which university do you attend or have attended in the past cat? Rolling Eyes

I think if Michael Howard uses the expression 'hard-working families' once more I shall shoot him.

I'm loving how the Tories are surrounding themselves at speeches with women, Asian people, and young students. Exactly the people that the majority of the party is not comprised of.

Sky's little sidebar has been used to really good effect so far. It's not as bad as News 24's infoburst at the last election, which put the TV in a tiny little screen, but a nice compromise between the two.

I can't believe Howard thinks he can get away with giving the SAME speech twice within 4 hours in the 24 news society we live in nowadays. He maybe elaborated on one or two points more than he did in London, but otherwise it's an identical speech.... Hague did the same thing towards the end of the campaign in 01.

And the sidebar on Sky news was quite good....hard thing for N24 to do without looking very odd for widescreen viewers...but I expect something like the infoburst to return very soon.

Oh and winfred...I agree with cat's comments about you entirely.

Will you please just go away.

You're lingering around here when nobody listens to you. Nobody wants you here; people have even started campaigns to get rid of you. Just do everyone a favour and f*ck off.

And why aren't you in school, for god's sake.

Some people on this forum like 'cat' make me laugh becasue you get so easily wound up. I'm only writing comments on an internet forum and as soon as I do, poeple start jumping up and down. It's seems that some people go crazy over the smallest things on this forum. Worse things happen in this world, for example people are starving in Africa, people are catching MRSA in our hopsitals. So why don't people like cat vent their anger and energy on issues like these instead of getting stressed over things which are written on an internet site?

As for you winifred, occasionally your posts display a naivety of expression which leave your remarks looking somewhat 'out of place'. At times this can be irritating to other users of the forum.

Please just try not to react to criticism, and, perhaps, also consider putting a little more thought into your remarks before posting. This may help alleviate some of the tension between you and other forum users which, to be honest, is beginning to make these boards an unpleasant place to visit.

Thanks

Posts like this, for example. Bad, bad, bad!! Bringing University into this argument is just pointless and will make people even more critical of you!

It really doesn't matter what University someone has gone to, here. It's the value of their contributions to the forum that carries greater currency!

I understand and respect your comments Al, but I don't understand why some people on here become extremely worked up over comments which I've posted on an internet forum. It seems that some people take ''TV Forum'' far too seriously. Just remember folks, there's a whole world out there in which terrible situations occur such as the recent Asian Tsunami. So can people like cat stop getting worked up over words which are written on an internet forum.

Ok, fair point Al, but I'm sticking to the other stuff I've previously mentioned.

ITV News is now showing it's election graphics in the slug in the bottom left-hand cormer. It consists of four cubes (yellow, blue, red, and green).

It's also on the newswall, where the red cube becomes pink...

Just watched Peter Snow with his VR graphics on the One... the keying was utterly diabolical - probably the worst keying I've ever seen on the BBC.

Talking of keying (as I was), I've just watched TOTH at 2pm on Sky News. Not only did the two presenters seem to be standing up where the desk would normally be, but it did look to me as though they were keyed over the normal newsroom/videowall background. If it was, it was a very good key indeed - unlike poor Peter Snow's VR shambles!

See, this is my point. Instead of starting campaigns to get rid of me from a small internet forum, why don't you start a campaign to get rid of poverty in Africa or start a campaign to improve the recruitement of teachers in schools in the UK.

Take a leaf out of Jamie Oliver's book. He's not spending his time getting stressed about comments made on an internet site. Mr. Oliver is using his energy to improve the quality of school meals across the UK. So watch and learn.
