It's pity News 24 used the opt-out to give their headlines, otherwise we could have had four sets of headlines Laughing

Quite an interesting idea- the N24 presenters opted in their headlines (to be covered on News 24 only) whilst everyone else took local news headlines.

I imagine N24 will leave Huw Edwards and not go to the national studio though....so that part of the introduction won't quite seem right for N24 viewers (along with the way it's branded as the "1" and we've lost all information- straps, tickers etc, again because the mainstream audience "can't cope with the information").

Has anyone got any pictures of the BBC bus? I'm guessing it must be rather large if they are going to present the Six from inside.

Slightly off topic, but does anybody know if the Six is still the most watched News programme in the country, hence the BBC have decided to choose the Six to be broadcast from the Election Bus.

The Six is probably the bulletin that would most benefit from being "oput and about". During the One you have all the morning pressers to cover -and it is all quite London-centric. The Ten is on-air in darkness - can you think of anything worse than an OB from a bus in pitch black?

Traditionally the Six has always had a number of programmes using OB co-presentation - maybe they'll use the bus for this, this year?

So News 24 are doing the 'local' inserts on the One, then? Nice.
Possibly not the largest number of presenters, but probably greatest combined number of letters in their names..

Not sure - would expect N24 to have opted out, with BBC London still the network feed cut up in the network studio (This is because it would have been difficult to get the News 24 presenters available as a source into the network gallery, and very easy to get the BBC London presenters...)

N24 opted out to the two main N24 presenters back in the studio with 'and the other headlines today...'
Interesting to see the One O Clock titles on N24

Does anybody know when the Election Bus hits the road and it's timetable for visiting each region? Confused

Will you please just go away.

You're lingering around here when nobody listens to you. Nobody wants you here; people have even started campaigns to get rid of you. Just do everyone a favour and f*ck off.

And why aren't you in school, for god's sake.

Just watched Peter Snow with his VR graphics on the One. I thought the graphics were OK - probably a bit better designed than the ITV VR graphics, but the keying was utterly diabolical - probably the worst keying I've ever seen on the BBC. The animations were nice, although some parts did seem to cut on and off rather than mix or de-animate. There was also no attempt to recreate any sense of depth of field, although ITV News fall foul of this too. BBC News - sort out that key!

I think if Michael Howard uses the expression 'hard-working families' once more I shall shoot him.

I'm loving how the Tories are surrounding themselves at speeches with women, Asian people, and young students. Exactly the people that the majority of the party is not comprised of.

Sky's little sidebar has been used to really good effect so far. It's not as bad as News 24's infoburst at the last election, which put the TV in a tiny little screen, but a nice compromise between the two.

Some people on this forum like 'cat' make me laugh becasue you get so easily wound up. I'm only writing comments on an internet forum and as soon as I do, poeple start jumping up and down. It's seems that some people go crazy over the smallest things on this forum. Worse things happen in this world, for example people are starving in Africa, people are catching MRSA in our hopsitals. So why don't people like cat vent their anger and energy on issues like these instead of getting stressed over things which are written on an internet site?
In conclusion, there is more to life than ''TV Forum'', so stop slating me every time write a comment.

Look, this is a public forum where anyone can ask questions or post remarks. It's absolutely unacceptable to vilify one person in the harsh terms you have been using - no matter how irritating that person may - or may not - be.

Rather than aimlessly criticising, why not try to be a little more constructive. After all, with posts like yours, above, people may very well begin to wonder who is really playing truant from the nursery!
