Actually I haven't seen Sky broadcasting from the Rixos hotel for a number of weeks now - it's mainly been Ian Woods and Alex Crawford reporting with the rebels as they advanced, and correspondents both in the studio and in Tunisia.

Best bit I've seen today was the interviewee on Sky who had just been in Gadaffi's bedroom and was wearing his hat. Great bit of telly

AlArabiya quoting Sky News quite a lot, the male anchor speaking over these pictures naming 'Alex Crawford'. Interesting to see given the impending launch of Sky News Arabia

Sky News is surely streets ahead of the competition, aswell as the BBC. Their coverage seems very lackluster at the moment, ITV News surprisingly hasn't been great too, which is a shame as usually with big international stories they are one of the best. No sign of Bill Neilly either?

I was also surprised to see them using Sky pictures with as you say the launch of Sky News Arabia online in the coming months and on TV next year. Suspect Alex will have helped the Sky brand name in the region.

I'm glad Lyse is in Libya. She's an excellent correspondent, and she'll definitely be able to improve the BBC coverage that bit more.

CNN now doing a domestic story - 5.9 earthquake on the US east cost.

Sky News broke away briefly to cover that too, but returned to Tripoli to show rebels jumping on Gadaffi's golf buggy.

CNNi have just broke away from the CNN-US coverage. All the US networks are now showing pictures of people wandering around streets of New York and Washington (yawn). No doubt there will be video of the moment the quake hit some of the news studios.

Sky just showed a picture of Gadaffi wearing the hat (or one very similar) to the one the man interviewed by Alex was wearing.

You may say yawn but it's a fairly big story, and a nice change from Libya especially on Sky
