Wow! A full one minute countdown at 1200 - that's nice.

Interesting that Naga is back already having did a stint at 4am-7am. Wonder whether we'll get Lyse or Mishal on the News Channel today - we can hope!

A 50-ish second countdown at 1230! I wonder if the NC will get the One, I think we will!

It was branded as BBC World News.

Whilst I understand a full titles sequence makes sense because BBC World News seems to operate in half hours rather than full hours, I don't understand why we got a countdown at the BOTH.

No. What we're seeing now is a simulcast on BBC NC and BBC Wirld News.

Kasia Madera tweeting that she'll be from Libyan embassy from 2.

Are they having issues with playing trails out on the NC? Over 60 seconds countdown into the One.

No sports trail either during the headline sequence, instead replaced with a "join us all afternoon on the NC for updates".

Maybe it's because they had to switch from N8 to N6? We don't get trails at 10pm normally for the same reason.

Perhaps the sport thing is because there won't be time for sports updates....

Just a guess! Smile

In some cases channels do just rebroadcast others when there are big stories, usually a national broadcaster. It's legally iffy, although often it will go under the defense of fair use

Thanks for that, had always wondered how such arrangements worked.

You'll notice today that the BBC are showing an off air clip from AJE of an interview of someone in Gaddafi's camp under fire . That presumably comes under 'fair use' as it's an interview that's significant and only they have.... and no-one else will be able to replicate. They are using it off air and crediting it
