Thats a habit they have developed recently in their breaking news coverage and it irritates me beyond belief.

Was it a waste of money though?... it seems to have worked!

Reconstruction and the formation of the state apparatus effectively from scratch will require input from other countries but that's not necessarily a bad thing economically.... I bet there's a lot of big multi-nationals thinking of the money making opportunites in Libya in the months to come! Also it could have a positive (from a buyers perspective) effect on the oil price

Bizarre footage shown on CNN a while ago, showing a female Libyan television newsreader pulling out a pistol live on air during a bulletin, and threatening any rebels or insurgents who make an attempt to enter the building. Not quite what one would expect to see on television news.

(and we thought Kay Burley was bad..........)

Naga on air one hour earlier than usual. Wonder if Tanya Beckett will replace Babita at 5am London, bridging the gap until the Breakfast hours, or perhaps Babita will stay for an extra hour.

Babita always appears to be on duty when big overnight news breaks.
