Are World viewers seeing this bulletin with Julia Somerville? The only story on the headlines was to do with Libya.

Broad summary of the coverage so far (I have food poisoning so am doubled up in bed on a Saturday night!)

BBC: Pretty good but very 'academic'. Lots of experts and analysts and university types being rolled out - as I write they've gone to Exeter to interview another professor. Bit tedious. Some good live stuff with Alan Little in Tripoli.

Sky: Exceptional, I would say. They occasionally dip into this ridiculous Skystrator nonsense where they plaster a 3D map with flags and ships. As of now, they have Lisa Holland live in what's described as 'Gadaffi's compound' with another live shot over Tripoli. Lots of lives across the country and although I normally find him hard to watch, I think Steve Dixon has been excellent and with Tim Marshall alongside him. They seem now to be the only network with a live point in the foreign ministry in Tripoli

CNN: Dire bordering on embarassing. Managed to miss Obama's comments live and still (15 mins later) haven't been able to play a recording. Twitter is not treating them kindly.

Fox: Actually not terrible with a couple of correspondents in the country but mostly ex-US Army types being rolled out to discuss tactics.

MSNBC: Seems to be full of political hacks talking about what this means for Obama. They used Jonathan Rugman from Channel 4 News for a live from Tripoli. NBC seem not to have people in the country / available to report.

ABC: Did a special report with a live from Libya and Washington, and took Obama's comments. NBC and CBS didn't.

And of course not to forget AJE: excellent coverage with Tony Birtley and James Bays live in Benghazi as well as Anita McNaught in Tripoli

Have ITV news done anything other than the scheduled bulletins?

While the idea of CNN domestic and CNNi producing joint coverage for stories like this is a good one, it is bizarre when the presenters start having conversations, interacting and almost interviewing each other about the situation. CNN's coverage just seems to be lacking something.

I think the BBC, Sky and AJE have all done a very good job this evening. Tim Marshall has, as ever, been superb on Sky News and their coverage overall has been top notch.

Ben Brown is now presenting from Tobruk.

We see it on Sky News. BBC News breaking news strap: "anti-aircaft fire heard over Tripoli".

Channel Seven News in Australia apparently showing footage of Prince William. They've clearly got their priorities straight, unless the Australian audience is more interested in their foreign royal family than a civil war in Libya.

Seven sunrise now on air - mainly mourning the loss of the Knut Polar bear. Just waiting to see the main story they talk about after Nat's news update

EDIT: Kochie now going through the Libya story now at 6.47. It doesn't sound like a very detailed story, being discussed with someone in Sydney. Something like this in the UK would not be accepted as enough. Nothing about the ceasefire or live pictures or a reporter in the country.

Libya's leading the 7am news bulletin on Seven Sunrise - with a report from ITV's Tim Ewart!

...and now they're live in Tripoli with NBC's Jim Maceda. Do they actually have any reporters of their own...?
