I wouldn't be surprised if ITV try and get him to do GMB for two days a week. The Eamonn/Charlotte pairing worked well on Sunrise, so ITV could easily recreate that.
That would be interesting, but can't see that happening unless Ben Shepard leaves.
I don't think he'll return to another morning news show in the near future - I think he'll do exactly what he said: continue to present This Morning on ITV, and do documentaries and similar programming for Channel 4 and 5. If Eammon wanted to continue to present breakfast programming, I expect he wouldn't have left Sky. Eammon may be a journalist by trade/profession, but I'd bet his primary reputation amongst viewers is as an accessible television presenter. Therefore, he's as likely to end up doing a Piers Morgan-style interview series for ITV or hosting an afternoon/Saturday evening game show for the BBC or ITV as he is to go to Breakfast, GMB or Channel 5 News.
I'm disappointed to see Eamonn leave Sky News. He was the reason I watched GMTV in the mornings. An absolute professional. He's also been a good friend of TV Live over the last few years.
With regards to who will replace him, I believe there's only one person who can take the job and continue the good work he's done over the last 11 years... Stephen Dixon.
Pure speculation on my part but I wonder if ITV are considering using him as a audience drawing anchor for whatever they plan to replace UTV Live with.
He presented its predecessor for a few years in the 1980s, but surely that's a job he wouldn't take even if offered? Would be like rewinding his career thirty years.
Can't see it happening yet but it isn't unusual to see national names end their career back in the regions. I suspect we'll see him venture back in to the world of gameshows first.

UTV Live isn't being replaced.
It may be rebranded at some point but it isn't being axed.
