Fair to say TV Forum posters called this one wrong.
Call me cynical but I can see Vine’s pay for POV tumbling sooner rather than later.
How does it work if coverage of this is featured in Newswatch? You’d think it’d have to have standing in rather than Samira reporting on how BBC are covering Samira’s case with the BBC.

It's already fallen to 0 since July 2018, he was replaced by Tina Daheley
Have to say too the BBC didn’t help themselves in this case it sounds like. Arguing Jeremy Vine was paid more because he needed to have a "glint in the eye" to present Points of View was never going to go down well.

Shows how much a POV superfan I am clearly.
So what we’re saying is Tina Daheley is the new Terry Wogan.

Lol keep up, he left a few years ago and the case already revealed that his replacement Tina is paid less for POV than Samira
So since size of profile and the size of audience simply don’t matter now. I’m looking forward to all the local radio presenters claiming Chris Evans Radio 2 salary.
Ridiculous call. The employment tribunal process is just not fit for purpose- it is so weighted in favour of the claimant its beyond a joke. This could have implications beyond TV too.
Worse of all though it makes a mockery of the real victims of discrimination.
This issue here is, it’s unlikely anyone will really call this decision out. The left wing press will want to stick up for what it sees as their natural position on such issues and the right wing press will just use it as an excuse to beat the BBC. The likes of Vine himself won’t feel comfortable trying to justify the difference, as they’ll just be afraid of looking like they’re trying undermine female colleagues.
