Distorted Sound

Last night on the local East news on STV at 6pm, it all started even the music played at the start of the programme all sounded like a tape had been screwed up, and the following program sounded like robots were talking, this kept up for at least 17 mins, then it rectified, but what gets me is there was no word of apology about this from STV, not like the good old days.

It seems to be that now we are in the digital age that TV companies feel there isn't a need to say sorry and that we should expect these kind of TV issues.

Looks fine on the STV player, maybe a local TX problem?
Did you check other channels to see if they were the same?

No there was severe sound problems on STV East last night, a couple of people mentioned it within the STV News thread. But the problem wasn't on STV+1 or on the STV Player.

Also if it's a sound problem, would have Kelly Ann have known about it? Maybe no apology because she knew nothing of it...

So what was wrong with them passing on the info to her through the ear piece that they have? in this day and age there are no excuses.

Kelly-Ann did make an apology at the end of tonight's programme, saying that engineers are working on the problem.
