Now that Nick Ross has decided to leave Crimewatch, one wonders who will take over from him.

Dermot Murnaghan, perhaps? Or what about Nicholas Owen, now of News 24?

Dermot would be good, or how about Michael Buerk (if he still works for BBC) - he was very good on 999 years ago.

Yeh, who's next to get the sack cause of their age - they really do seem to hate older figures now don't they. Nick was saying in a mediaguardian interview that television is for the younger generation - like sixteen year olds watch the Ten O'Clock News or even Crimewatch.

Crimewatch just won't be the same without him imo. I could kind of see Rajesh Mirchandani doing it

I met him at a film premiere once- nice guy.

AND... Yeah I think him and Fiona would be good.

Would he use the famous nightmare sign off though???
