I’m not liking the recent physical attacks and arrests on members of the media during the protests this week.

It's what happens when your leaders constantly vilify and demean the value of a free media. When many of the problems of a country are blamed on the media not reporting the "right things", and rather than correcting information it's just denounced, it's hardly surprising that more and more people consider the media a threat rather than an asset.

And sadly the same things are happening in multiple countries.

The Minneapolis channels are all providing rolling news of today's protest.

Philadelphia channels are covering another protest in Center City which has turned violent.

Minneapolis photographer Linda Tirado has been left blind in one eye permanently after being shot with a rubber bullet by police while covering the protest/riots.

Social distancing is going well in the US then. An absolutely awful situation not helped at all by the President. It's really quite sad that Barack Obama's time in office didn't really change anything.

Minneapolis - Curfew in effect. Rolling news on ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS affiliates tonight.

Nashville - Courthouse set alight by protesters - ABC, CBS and NBC with rolling news.

Los Angeles - Riots and looting, curfew from 8pm PT - All local channels with rolling news including KTLA.
