I noticed before the comments on Mutada Al Sadr (Sp?). From the video i've seen it does that his name is shouted, something I saw an analyst on News 24 deny.

Just how the hell was a camera phone allowed in though?

You know, I didn't ever think the likes of Torchwood would ever have a prophetic side. But the line: "All we can do is reduce ourselves to the basics" has just been replayed on BBC3, and that, and the general feel of the episode, just seems to lend itself to this nonsense.

Not as bad as half the 'pious' (to use their own words) idiots who write responses on the BBC website. I don't know where to start, but the inconsistencies of the Points of View rejects are really annoying.

However, I love the person who has quoted the classic Simpsons line: "Wont somebody please think of the children?" Laughing

Incidentally, I H Wilkinson is surely of Tunbridge Wells.

I have just watched the full thing.

It should not have been recorded - I stand by that. The 'official' one was enough.

I have already seen the mobile video that is everywhere now. I believe the final video would be very dramatic indeed. After watching that video, I'm not so sure about showing the real thing. It is a bit gut-wrenching to see Saddam dropping into the trapdoor. (Mind you, I have no symphathies towards this madman whatsoever, but it is hard to see anyone dying).

So true. Actually in the days of these vids being online within minutes there is probably even less reason to put them on TV with them being available to people who want them.

I think it will be shown at some point in some documentary about Saddam or Iraq, but it was never suitable for news.

Personally I find myself pretty immune to vids like this where people get hurt / killed!

Can't watch anything though where an animal comes to harm! Confused

Does anyone have a screenshot of the BBC One caption during Doctor Who?

it's there on the internet, it's not nice to see of course, but it was all quick.

I do not believe that Saddam Hussein is dead for the following reasons:-

1. Iraq is yet to show the full execution.
2. That mobile video cuts to black before you see the hanging/death, he could have survived.
3. The skin tone in pictures showing that he is dead/unconcious (they are not 'white enough', clearly still shows colour, therefore he is alive/unconcious at the time of photograph. Lets wait for the film to show him actually hanging from the same rope to be shown....... or wait for me to be ripped apart by other TVF members..........

What!? Did you watch the whole mobile video? It clearly shows him falling through the gallows and the rope snapping taut, followed by several shots of him hanging from the rope with a 90-degree neck.

As for the 'going white' thing - how white do you think a human body is supposed to go?

The "not being white enough to be dead" argument is rubbish. He had dark skin. Do you think black people turn white when they die?

Bloody conspiracy theorists do my head in.
