Alastair Yates on BBC announced that pictures/film of the hanging may be available in the next hour - not sure where that is being sourced from.

IMO the hanging should be broadcast in some form - although there's little doubt the execution has actually happened, it will provide some closure to the Iraqi people.

Just for those who are interested, at 5.25am:

BBC1, News 24, World simulcast with Alistair Yates (with Paul Wood in the studio and Adam Brooks in Washington)

Sky News Sunrise team on air (Mark Longhurst and Samantha Simmonds with Tim Marshall)

Nothing as yet (AFAIK) on ITV

Al Jazeera rolling live coverage as well.

CNNI are rolling with CNN US - currently with Andersen Cooper.

GRRR, CNNI is so annoying! if they are running with CNN Domestic, they should drop their own Astons. It looks like a right mess.

They've been shown by iraqi tv and al arabiya and sent to other networks via Reuters and AP. However both agencies cut away before the actual hanging, Not sure if Al-A showed the whole thing

Al Jazeera now has pictures of his body. They have been broadcast repeatedly since about 10:40

(Assuming they've got the right one!)

Have we had a tribute from Mr Galloway yet?

No newsflash on BBC1 - looks like a technical person has just thrown the caption on. The announcements sound automated (although to be fair it's during the Sign Zone and there a little pointless anyway...) and I'll guess they wont set up the BBC1 newsroom for it, but they could have mentioned it again.
there are always at least two playout directors covering the UK BBC channels at all times, so it won't just have been a technical person. The announcers would have gone home a few hours previously though.

At 1100, News 24 and World were doing a simulcast, with the first 15-20 minutes anchored by a slightly nervous looking autocue-less Clive Myrie in Bagdhad. It's now Ben Brown and Maxine Mawhinney (still simulcasting), and they're showing a full obituary.

the 1200 News 24 bulletin with Maxine was simulcast on BBC One, with N6-style graphics, with World doing its own thing, then at around 12:10 they both passed over to Clive who's anchoring again.

Matt Frei in Washington has just said that Bush was "asleep" at 9pm when the hanging took place.

President Bush has been asleep throughout the night, infact he was asked not to be woken when Saddam was hanged.

Cawford issued a pre-scripted statement around 30 minutes after the news broke of the actual hanging.
