NC's Five now simulcasting its first portion of the programme with WN's Global. The lower-thirds are not in sync.

Well he seems happy about it.

Newsflash on BBC1 during Wimbledon. Reeta Chakrabarti announcing the news. Think I read it happened a newsflash occurred once before during Wimbledon for the Barry George verdict.

Rare to get a newsflash nowadays.

Absolutely shameful from Davis and Johnson though - get sod all done in two years of negotiations and when Theresa May finally (again two years too late) puts a deal on the table which actually acknowledges the 48% too they run away like the cowards they are, and they won't think twice too about toppling May for their own personal gain and taking months away from the most crucial negotations in the countries history for political infighting and another election, which of course they'll hope to lose so they can blame Jeremy Corbyn for the mess they've left the country in.

We live in interesting times. The quote from Laura Kussenberg's sources that's running in the BBC's ticker at the moment suggests there could be a few more ministerial resignations.

If there's an election called, this will be me..... filling in leave forms

As much as I hate the BBC's never ending headline sequence it is quite nice only having to watch the first couple of minutes of the 6pm news to get the full story. Really couldn't stomach watching David Davis giving his excuses, and likely remaining somewhat unchallenged by the media, as he has been for two years.

Surely they can all be replaced by Gareth Southgate and the England squad ( They couldn’t do any worse)

That is why the traditional big news bulletins are so important even in these days of rolling news, they are a curated summary of the days news

Any clips of the BBC one Newsflash? Did ITV provide a newsflash?

Wonder if we'll get a lot of extended news on BBC and ITV if May does go? Unlikely to be another General Election - unless Corbyn and the Opposition benches can mastermind a Vote of No Confidence in HM's Government, which is absolutely winnable. But we could well see May stepping down in a not dissimilar fashion to the last female PM.

A vote of no confidence no longer generates a GE, it simply puts Parliament into abeyance and allows another government to be formed within 14 days. Even Tory turkeys don't vote for Christmas . . . Laughing

Although they do seem to be making a bit of a comeback as we got one for Bruce Forsyth death last year.

I’m guessing Sue Barker introduced it, rather than it just crashing in at Match Point?
