I thought there were 28 left in the cave, including B̶o̶r̶i̶s̶ ̶J̶o̶h̶n̶s̶o̶n̶, Jeremy Hunt, and Karen Bradley.

I saw a couple of tweets from reporters shortly after I made the post, but I'm not going to update the joke, just to make it accurate until Boris re-emerges.

I imagine any political reporters on annual leave at the moment will be called in and broadcasters will be getting out the plans for a PM changeover and another general election

Peston's show going on summer break doesn't look great with hindsight.

A fella has been stood behind Adam Boulton for a good hour of so waving a ‘Brexit - is it worth it?’ sign whilst wearing a silly outfit.

Which begs the question - has someone waving a sign whilst wearing a silly outfit behind someone presenting a live OB ever managed to change somebody’s point of view on something as polarising as Brexit? Because I’d imagine the vast majority of viewers are just thinking “look at that div”.

The loonies seem to have multiplied. They’ve even got their hats and flags out now.

Are any political reporters on annual leave? Wouldn't they go on holiday in recess?

Some probably are on holiday now so that there is someone on duty over recess.
The PM is due (and has been since Friday) to give a statement in the Commons shortly so that will be shown on the news channels.

BBC News channel seems to be going into a bit of a meltdown this afternoon. Simon crashed the 2pm titles, the gallery also failed to kill his microphone so we heard him shouting an aggressive 'no'. It all went a bit wrong at the 3pm TOTH with Boris Johnson's resignation and now there's been a host of live feeds going down.
