Has anyone else picked up on the wonderful Darshini David. She sometimes reads business news on BBC World. However, it seems like she is informally chatting rather than reading and it feels like she is talking directly to me. Her big smile and tilts of the head are so engaging. Now, the business news seems much more interesting. My only fear is that she will soon be promoted away from BBC World...

She began at BBC World about a week or 2 before BBC World began renovation on its set and newsroom.. anyway i can remember sitting there watching and I think it was Nisha Pillai handing it over to her and back then there were no chattin just a quick thanks **** ***** and to the business news........... Any I watched her do her first WBR and she kept on looking at the wrong camers which was funny but really was amazing was her goodbye it was atleast 45 seconds long none of it made sense and they eventually had to cut her off!!

And she dosent appear on it sometimes its alot!! for days on end!!

im tired.. i think i need a lie down!! Oh and shes great Very Happy

I have. She is astonshingly charming and beautiful, I love her smile, the way she tilts her head, her look. I've got interested in business and financial news just because she is there.
I did not watch her first edition of WBR, but knowing she was continuously looking at the wrong camera makes me love her even more.

Darshini is really good on BBC World - she seems to have become Jane Sinclair's permanent replacement. She's only just appeared on BBC World, but she's been working for the BBC Business Unit for several years. I remember her presenting Business Today on News 24 back in 2002 when Nils Blythe was on holiday. She was good then, too.
