In the Summer of 2005 I was bored and watchin the beeb World News and I missed Daljit on ITN or CNN International.

I wrote a short letter to BBC World News and I asked them to hire her.

She began doing voiceovers there and then subbed for Katty Kay while she was preggers.

Today she appeared on BBC World News again as a co host.

Then she was hired back to host Wide Angle.

Katty Kay or Daljit who do you want to see more. By the way why did she leave CNN?

Well, a good friend of mine who is in the pool of 'star' presenters told me 'she just didn't fit in' with anyone else at CNN. And from a close friend who used to work with her at ITN - she was a nightmare to work with. So, go figure. Her contract was not renewed at CNN, end of.

I find that to be very believable - she is a very popular newsreader and quite good at her job too BUT it always seemed strange that she never stays in the same job for long. Now we (seem to) know why!

If she is like that why will BBC WORLD want her to do some work for them, surely they will know why she left CNN.
She is very good, but the way she stairs into the camara says a lot about her.

WNET shows BBC World Bullitens at 6pm . It shows them at 12am on WNET's digital channel, thirteen world. WLIW shows them at 6am, 7pm, and 11pm, and in breaking news events, such as the london bombings, they simulcast World for the whole day. WLIW also shows RTE News on SUndays. WNET houses BBC World's NYC set.

Yep - though WLIW and WNET playout is now co-sited in the WNET floors of the building which also houses APTN and other broadcasters.

The BBC New York bureau is in office space shared with WNET, and they have put a small BBC News set (mainly used for World Business Report - but also used in the past for Talking Point and also for World News co-presentation) in the smaller of WNET's two multi-camera studios. BBC World have used the larger WNET studio for shooting World News Debates on occasion - though they've also used other facilities in New York (like HBO Studios)

The BBC News set has an HD projector in it - with an HD camera mounted on the roof of the building (with an HD VCR providing a backup - especially for rainy days)

There is also a single camera CSO studio with the same camera feed (4:3 SD downconverted)

Well she hasn't worked for BBC World for a while - so maybe people who worked with her last time have moved on... Also she may be a freelance presenter who is doing ad hoc stuff - rather than a "star anchor" on long term contract.

The reason Daljit left BBC News, was for her new job at ITN World News.

She lost that job to Mishal Husain and BBC World News which had better reporting.

A good example was in 1999 during the conflict in Serbia and Kosovo, which was astonishing to see.

Russian troops prevented a full scale NATO invasion by invading from Bosnia into Pristina.

That stopped a lot of bloodshed.

I heard that after Daljit lost her job at ITN, she was wooed over to CNN International.

Scuttlebutt said she did not get along with hot babe reporter Zane Verjee and some others.

I may have the wrong name.

CNN did not renew her contract because CNN Financial News/ CNN International had begun to make austerity cuts before its financial collapse.

Dont call Daljit antisocial. She still has lots of friends.

BBC News would not have hired her back, if she was a bitch.

BBC News has little tolerance for erratic behavior.

If your behavior becomes erratic, you will become a liability and no one wants that.

Sorry, if I talk like a d!psh!t.
