Funny to see that Sunday Politics London was broadcast and then it went straight back to Andrew standing in the same studio but coloured red.

So is it usual for some regions to pre-record the Sunday Politics segment, or was that just because Millbank was needed for the main programme today?

Most regions pre-record (on the Friday I believe), unless they specifically need to be live.

Everything was pre-recorded today. Andrew Neil is in New York according to his Twitter.

Thanks. Interesting, Scotland is done live, I just assumed the others would be too, but I guess they are maybe less likely to have to react to overnight news/Sunday papers etc. I wonder if the other nations are live too.

The regional Sunday Politics slots have been prerecorded for years as it's cheaper to do it on a Friday when everyone's in.

It's no big secret, I've seen regions use clips of theirs on the news before it goes out on the Sunday

The Daily Politics conference special this afternoon finished rather abruptly and 15 minutes early - does anyone have any insight into why?
