He's live on his poor quality video phone or something now.

By looks of it the audio is from a second, ordinary phone and the video is a separate device (presumably no chance of 3G or EDGE, only GPRS given the remote location). Or maybe that *is* 3G - I don't own one so can only speculate at how rubbish it normally looks.

Mark Simpson has an awful video phone. It would be better to watch him talking over pictures.

But it shows he's there, and gives some idea of what it's like to be there. Television is a visual medium, and it's good to see video, however poor quality.

It's also the first moving images from the scene isn't it?

Hmm. I'm not sure about this although it does give a very "of the moment" and kinda edgy feel. Not sure I like it though.

I think it would be better used taking pictures of the scene, well at least he's there. Will be a tiring night for him on call. Horray, finally images of the studio again

Good to see the breaking news bug has gone, seeing as its not breaking any more. Unlike Sky who it seems are still breaking 2 hour old news.

Bails News 24 has found this "library (google images)" shot of the interior of the train. http://www.netsplit.com/events/2002/pendolino-euston/pendolino-euston-013.jpg

No, ITV was there about 45 minutes ago.

I hope News 24 continue to roll with the story and let World do there own thing this evening, it is too much of an important news story for N24 to dump in favour of World, yet it does not affect the World's audience. I know that there is an option for the two to seperate if there is a major breaking story so, i imagine alot of people are being called in tonight to work. I wonder who will anchor N24.

Some library footage of Pendolino trains, in the cab and carriage and aerial shots of the track in that area. Nice
