Coverage of Russian Siege

At the back of my mind I can't help but think that the world's biggest broadcast newsgathering organisation is now in second gear, with the commercial rival flooring it in first.

ITV1 coverage has just finished, BBC1 have gone back to coverage, reporting the recent ITV News exclusive.

Absolute stroke of genius from ITV.

Manyon was back on - doing some really good reporting, which other networks were picking up on (CNN were carrying it), and Nick Owen says 'we have to leave it there', so that ITV1 could go back back to their schedule.

Interesting to see CNN rebroadcasting ITV. Can't help but think that as good as BBC News' coverage is, they need to get their cameras inside the school itself if they're not going to have to use "ITV pictures" or "Sky pictures" astons over their reports later.

Sky is quoting ITV with the news that 100 dead inside the gym (strap)

I think the BBC's coverage is very dissapointing and the winners are deffinatly Sky and especialy ITV. ITV's coverage was fantastic, very informative and for once Sky are quoting from them! Next time there is a serious disaster, im tunning into ITV.
