Also they have had Jonathan Charles in vision from the scene.

He did seem to be doing rather well, but couldn't help but think there was an irony that he had turned up in bulletproof jacket and crash helmet and people were walking around behind him looking totally nonplussed wearing t-shirts and jeans!

News 24 now simulcasting with World. Perhaps not a tremendous surprise, I wonder what'll happen at 1pm. I guess they're winding up to a long News Special at this rate.

Terrible pictures, it's almost like a war zone there.

Well what were you expecting, a party?

She is doing remarkably well, though. Whilst just about everyone is reporting that they are getting things under control, she is basically illustrating that it is far from that.

Im surprised if a shoot-out is occurring why journalists are so close if not 'in' the action. We dont want anymore deaths. But Rachel is providing great coverage. Im sticking with SKY¦News for a bit now!

Does sound as though she has moved back now.

She's said that she has her cameraman with her, so presumably some very ''good'' pictures to come.

Just sounds as though she has found one of the hostage-takers, who is being erm... battered.

I'm actually impressed with News 24 today. Normally in a breaking story when it's being broadcast everywhere N24 just repeat everything over and over, but they seem to be constantly hopping around giving more details etc.

When, I can't remember his name, was doing a report and suddenly there was a huge amount of gunfire and shouting and he flew down to the ground - although not something to be proud of but it gave a huge sense of how real it was. Carrie did keep asking over one report how he was. It's impressive.

It does though seem to be just chaos. Nobody knows the real details, or what exactly is going on.
