Watching Sky at the moment, really remarkable reporting from Rachel Amatt, who sounds like she is about to get blown up at any moment.

As far as I can tell, she is the closest correspondent to the scene... not sure where ITV are because I haven't heard a correspondent of their own yet; Beeb have people there but seem fairly far away; CNN have a correspondent who is on videophone but nowhere near what's going on.

Curious as to where Sky's Moscow correspondent, Laurence Lee, is. Haven't seen him at all over the past few days.

Admittedly I havent caught much of SKY¦News this morning, but, every time I have flicked over they have seemed to be showing adverts! Have they decided to drop any breaks yet?

ITV's Julian Manyon is in the town and has been on the line several times.

I think he was at the town's hospital interviewing some of the earlier escapees when the gunfight broke out.

They also have Africa correspondent Neil Connery in Moscow.

can sum1 please explain why all the children are in their underwear??

Because when the children asked for a drink they were forced to hand over their clothes which were then soaked in water for them to suck.

I have been watching for the past hour and have not seen one advert, so yet again you are wrong about your comments re: adverts.

I seem to remember you complaining that Sky weren't covering the Russian plane crashes a few weeks ago, when everyone else could see quite clearly that they were. I think it was you. If it wasn't apologies.

As far as I can see, they are all doing pretty well; but Sky, with a Russian-speaking person in the studio, who's translating Russian TV coverage, and a correspondent with obviously good vantage point, have the edge.

Sky: Peter Sharp has packaged todays events so far, and David Chater is now in Moscow

Channel 4 has begun its covering on News at Noon. They have someone in the studio talking about the situation.

Does anybody know what five have been doing.

Five News has a studio guest talking about the Republican Convention at the moment.

Calm down dear........... Wink
If you look at my post I have admitted that I havent been watching much on SKY¦News but when I did turn over within the last hour (or so) I did see an advert! I am predominantly watching BBC and ITV because it is much more a presentational nightmare than SKY¦News just continuing their rolling news coverage with the added bonus of BBC1 and ITV1 having to change schedules for network coverage.

SKY¦News always does VERY well in worldwide stories and I dont need to watch their coverage as I know that they will cover the story adequately - especially as this story has been building for a few days now.

Concerning the Russian plance crashes, from memory it wasn't myself who predominantly mentioned that SKY werent covering the story but other members. When it was brought to my attention i was once again began 'flicking' over to compare coverage and I did not see SKY give the story any coverage where it didnt even warrant a breaking news strap on screen. SO based on what I saw I didnt see any mention of it (which was backed up by other members aswell) I did suggest that maybe that portion was pre-recorded but obviously it wasnt as they had the news paper review then.

But that is the beauty of the forum - we all predominently watch our own particular channel and can put our thoughts of what we watch (or think we watch!!!) and say what we see and other people can contribute and correct what actually happened!

Rachel is doing well on Sky but I think News24/BBC 1 have been good as well. Damian Grammaticus and Sarah Rainsford are both very near the gunfire - you can hear it. Also they have had Jonathan Charles in vision from the scene.

Well, fair enough.

Sky's correspondent is inside the school now, they are saying.
