Countdown to 2012

According to the BBC, there's a special programme on BBC One, BBC World News and 5Live to come, with Sophie Raworth, Jake Humphrey and Mishal Husain (nice to see her centre-stage!). Plus, reports on the 27th July throughout Breakfast, BBC London News and News Channel bulletins. Even BBC World News will have special coverage, including a weekly "Olympics Update".

Wonder what BBC4 will do that day. The special programme replaces World News Today on BBC World News

Hmmm, maybe it could be shown on BBC Four too? Probably not though! I think there might be a hisorical doc. on the Olympics or something like that.

A shame the BBC persist in handing over such events to BBC News - BBC Sport should be in complete control of such programming IMO.

Even though there's probably going to be no actual sport in it?
