Think it was already being mentioned that presenters were doing their make-up, looked as though that was the case with Sophie Raworth on tonight's Six. Not being snarky, just an observation.

No ones gone blind from the experience of seeing newsreaders without professional make up so looks like that's a saving BBC News can make longer term...

On tonight's ITV News London, an interview with a guest was conducted in someone's front porch, the Mayor of London was on Skype from home and another package was done with the reporter talking to someone using her iMac laptop on a stairwell.

On the ITV Evening News, Steve Scott was Live from Bristol with conventional camera equipment, but it looked like he was probably in his back garden.

Alex Beresford with the ITV weather from Bristol again instead of Millbank.

Local weathers being covered from neighbouring regions instead of a hub presenter I’ve noticed too.

In a way yes. I don't know whether its Leeds or Salford but Kerrie Gosney presents weather forecasts for both Calendar and Granada Reports.

Chris and Aisling from Anglia have also done various regions, this is usually done at weekends.

ITV News now using desk mics for reporters/guests, but not for the presenter. How very retro.
