I think what we’re missing is Boris coming on TV, looking down the camera and explaining to people what is happening and why. The irony is he’s actually quite good at this.

Well Geeta has just said on the News Channel there is going to be a Press Briefing at 12:00 with Boris and Chris Whitty! What we really should have had at 5:00 last night!

Or, 5pm tonight. I get it's a "press" briefing, but many people are going to be at work or out doing stuff this time of day.

Hmm… I guess that's the point of news bulletins and websites and the like though, isn't it? To report on the important bits?

The thing is, the details are being published, but people are either misunderstanding or wilfully misinterpreting them.

Someone I know posted on Facebook earlier something like “so I can’t go round to my Auntie’s house but I can go to the pub with all my mates” - but you *can’t* go to the pub with all your mates, or if you do you have to maintain social distancing.

I was listening to Radio 2 a few weeks back when some of the guidance changed and the angle of their news bulletin was how confusing things were. It is really irresponsible of the BBC in particular to be reporting it in this way. Detailed guidance is published at every step and the media should be communicating this more clearly, not feeding the narrative of confusion.
