Have Channel 4 News done a lot of OB bulletin's during the pandemic? They're doing one right now with Krishnan Guru Murthy presenting the Saturday evening bulletin with a big crowd present at Soho; Central London.

He was also doing an OB last night, where there was also a big crowd. Might even be the same place!
Can I have your attention please?

He was on the Thames out west somewhere near Putney last night.
I appreciate that people are entitled to their opinions, but the NC broadcast a 'G5 Conspiracy Theory' programme at 17:30 today which was comedy gold.

Thanks for the heads-up - here's the iPlayer link.

So with hairdressers now open in (most) places which media stars have we noticed have had haircuts over the weekend? Dan Walker and Piers Morgan are 2 I've noticed. Can't wait to see Charlie Stayt's hair.

It will be interesting to see. I've always suspected that Charlie Stayt's barnet is 'death by hairspray' anyway. Surprised

However, hasn't Tomasz Schafernaker already stated that he prefers to stay looking like a 1970s porn star? Very Happy

If you're interest lies in viewing figures, here's a tweet that might fascinate you.

(I post in this thread as it generally impacts all channels and some programmes which have seen an increase in audience since March. Notable increases for me include BBC News at One. ITV News at Ten is lower than I thought..)

The pandemic has changed a lot. Even the One got more viewers than the Ten … for one day only.

This Morning winning it's slot now then for the vast majority of the show. Bargain Hunt still ridiculously popular.

I know it's midweek but seems a low figure for MOTD - being hurt I suspect by all matches being broadcast.

Dare I say, doesn’t that rather suggest the expense of custom branding and a large studio was unnecessary, as viewers don’t engage for that? The argument about the relevance of original content, including current affairs, can’t easily be measured by viewing figures, but it’s a little hard to understand why her show couldn’t simply have come from E in the first place.

One of things I don't like about Victoria is that she is taking credit for it. It's BBC News on BBC 1 at nine am, I suspect it gets similar figures whether she is presenter or not.

And I don't think you can compare the figures it gets now with what her old show used to get, as life has changed for so many people now, through furlough or working from home etc, the audience at that time is so different to five months ago.
