Looking forward to the new series of the Downing Street Coronavirus Briefing, which starts today at 5pm!

I wonder if they've moved the BBC clock forward an hour since the last series! Laughing

There's an even smaller gap between CV19 briefing seasons, than football seems to have.

Call me a pessimist, but yesterday we were halfway through 2020. I get the feeling the second half could be even worse than the first Rolling Eyes

Or maybe not as the virus could either muatate istelf out or (and i still believe this could happen in spite of what the CMO said at the last press briefing) that a vaccine could still turn up before the end of 2020 but it has to be before the end of September otherwise there will be problems when we get to flu season!

Someone has to try and stay postive!

They could have chosen a more heavyweight lead than Gavin Williamson for the 1st episode of the new series. His performance and voice sends me immediately asleep.

The briefing is about education... Funnily enough he is the Education secretary

Alok Sharma is far worse.

Sky got bored of the latest briefing and went over to New York instead.

EDIT: Wow and it seems to be a recorded piece from New York too rather than live, interesting editorial decision.

I think it's a delayed pool feed.

I understand that. And it seems Sky does too, by cutting it short. Even Matt Hancock wasn't cut off this early on in the 1st series. They should have brought Boris on this afternoon and then debut these educational guidelines tomorrow.

I didn't like this new series. There were no slides.
Colorman and Juicy Joe gave kudos

I hope we get the medical and scientific representatives as well and not one of those low key ones we had towards the end where just a minister appeared

You'd think all the main characters would be back for the reunion special.

Christian's suggested they should bring "Beyond 100 Days" back on 27 July under the name "100 Days To Go" then start again on 20 January 2021
