Dropping The Apprentice to show the result won’t be the most popular decision, I think having a 10 minute bulletin at 9pm with further coverage on BBC Two would probably be sufficient. If May were to lose the vote and then resign, would that come before 10pm? A tricky decision for BBC One in any case.
ITV may have a newsflash at 9pm, but I’d be surprised if they dropped the Coming Out show for special coverage.
BBC1 News special from 19.30 - Not likely to go of air at 21.00 if the result is not yet in.
The Apprentice will probably be moved to tomorrow at 9 in that case with the 'why I fired them' being slotted in somewhere else (although its difficult to see where presuming they'll want it broadcast before Sunday).

Scotland have a documentary about Lockerbie tomorrow at 9, with ep13 of The Apprentice at 23.25 Friday.

Andrew Neil seems to think the result will be in by 8 so it shouldn't be a problem, but if it did come to it I can't see any other choice but to reschedule the documentary as 23:25 on Friday is clearly not a suitable time for the biggest apprentice episode and there is no way the schedulers will want to move the final (which I believe parts of are usually broadcast live) from Sunday at this stage.
Although 23:25 Friday is probably the most likely time for ep13 nationwide in that case.

Hard to believe sometimes the BBC have four universal coverage domestic TV channels, or perhaps we should call them 'streams'
Can imagine if the result isn't announced until 9pm that the Apprentice will be moved to tomorrow 9pm - and Scotland will either move the Lockerbie document to another time or air the Apprentice at a different time.
Is Friday's Not Going Out a repeat? Looking at the Friday schedules Mrs Brown Boys is a repeat so if both are repeats I could imagine that there may be a shift in the schedules then to fit the episode in for Scotland if they want to keep the Lockerbie documentary at 9pm.
The Apprentice: Why I Fired Them is currently at 9pm Thursday and feels as if it's ripe to be moved to the Friday slot after Graham Norton.
Of course this all depends on when the vote is announced. If it's all done and dusted before 9pm I can see the Apprentice staying on BBC1 and the News Special moving to BBC2.
If May loses the vote then the rulebook goes out the window and who knows when the Apprentice will be on and whether the Final to it will be delayed (the You're Hired Show is recorded so it could be aired at another time but doubt BBC will be wanting to delay any of the Strictly, SPOTY or Apprentice finals if they can help it).
All guesswork though and I can't say I envy those in charge of BBC1 and BBC2 - this is where you earn your money and whatever you do, some viewer or another will be unhappy.
Have ITV announced any special programming for the vote? You can imagine the usual soap fan complaints should Corrie be moved though given Corrie's lack of quality recently, it not airing would be no bad thing.
