You can read his bio on the CNN website [HERE]

I didnt see the begining of the report. DId they introduce him as a CNN reporter or did they acknowledge what organization he worked for? I wasn't aware that CNN and ITN have a newsshare agreement can anyone confirm that?

Yes, CNN and ITN do have a reciprocal agreeement.

Back in May CNN's Nick Wrenn wrote in Press Gazette as part of a diary of his working week:
Quote:
A morning meeting at ITN. CNN has a strong affiliate relationship with ITN. During the Iraq War CNN staff worked in their newsroom. Love the building there at Gray’s Inn Road, all glass and big open space. I worked there with Reuters for a while and there was always a good buzz about the place.

Strange that. Because NBC News and ITN have had a relationship for quite a while.

ITV News Channel have NBC Nightly News reports shown on the channel, so there is somewhat still a connection between them.

From memory:

BBC - ABC
ITN - NBC/CNN
Sky - CBS/FOX

I think perhaps ITN may have had some sort of agreement with CBS, as during Election night 2000, I seem to remember ITN broadcasting much of CBS's coverage as part of their dire election special.

The Beeb used to have a fairly strong agreement with CNN until BBC World came along.

I think it was Sky News that used CBS on Election night 2000, as I remember Sky dipping into CBS at critical points, mainly when CBS declared who won each state on the exit polls (of course it didn't all work out right). The CBS feed was also on Sky News Active. This was when Sky always used CBS for its American news stuff, hardly if ever using FOX News, unless I missed all the times they used FOX pre-2001. Hopefully the feed will be on Active again this November, but as Sky mainly use FOX nowadays, so they will probably just simulcast FOX's coverage, even though its on EPG 531.

ITN definately used CBS coverage on election night 2000, but I've never seen any other CBS stuff used there.

I think Sky have calmed down their use of Fox in recent months. Last year, not a day would go by without some reference to them. Have to say, find it baffling that Sky cannot move one of their Washington correspondents to New York. As they do in DC, Fox would be able to provide facilities. It wouldn't be a case of setting up an entirely new bureau... and it is the most newsworthy city in the world.
