Hala doing both IDesks and Back Story today.

Errol Barnett is quite good as a news anchor on CNN World News. He appears to know his subject quite well.

As is Michael Holmes, I much prefer him presenting iDesk than Hala Gorani.

In other news, I see a new breaking news animation's been introduced. Don't have a screenshot I'm afraid, but it has the voice of James Earl Jones saying "This is CNN Breaking News". Looks quite good, and apparently from what I've heard, it's being used on CNN USA as well, albeit with a different voiceover.

They are also using a red moving cnn logo as the background for split screen during breaking news.

Becky makes me laugh, she sounds like she smokes 60 a day as she keeps losing her voice. Then she starts squealing at the end of her sentences, when she is asking people questions.

What a shame CNNi looks so gaudy on-screen. I used to love the previous look. Functional, modern and clean. Now though...

I guess they just wanna be like BBC News, unified graphics... but boring. ugh.

Anyone notices that there's something weird on AC360?
why is it they are all ZOOMED, if this is the effect of having CNN HD... it's very irritating.

Great Iranian coverage on CNN this weekend, finally it can be called a news channel on weekend too.

Very good extensive coverage over the past two days. Fox News also devoted a lot of coverage to the story yesterday.
