For all the attention seeking and stunts he pulled, you would expect Acosta to get something better as reward. A weekend afternoon slot was probably not on his mind. FOX gave their WH reporter, former CNNer John Roberts a weekday afternoon slot. But then again, Roberts managed to keep his dignity as well.

I think that’s a little unfair. John Roberts has a record as an anchor - at CTV, CBS and CNN - before returning to a correspondent role at Fox. Notwithstanding his efforts, I’m not sure Jim Acosta warrants an anchor role. And it isn’t a given that a WH correspondent slides in behind the anchor desk.

John Roberts started off at MuchMusic/CityTv not CTV, just to clarify

And your point is...? I didn't say that John Roberts started at CTV. I said he had record as an anchor at CTV, etc. His role at CityTV and MuchMusic was largely correspondent-based.

The dayside changes mean that DC Studio A/B (Situation Room) reduces from 3 to 1 hour of use per day. DC Studio D (Inside Politics/The Lead) increases from 2 to 3 hours per day. NY Studio 17N (Early Start/Newsroom) will be dual anchored for 5 out of the 6 or 7 hours the cramped set is on air.

Doesn't Inside Politics and The Situation Room share the same studio at the moment thanks to COVID?
Does Graham Norton have Norton Security installed on his computer?

Yes, at the moment. I’m talking post-COVID when things would supposedly go back to normal.

Would you be able to tell whether the studio here is A/B or D? As a bonus, at the 40:30 and 1:00:30 mark, you will see a more 'sane' Lou Dobbs.

I'd say it's impossible to say considering it's been gutted several times since 1994.

Ok, then what was the studio that had a 'window' view of the Capitol as opposed to a life-sized imaged projected on a screen, one where the old Late Edition has broadcasted out of in the mid-late 2000s?

I'd be guessing if I answered this, has CNN been in the same DC bureau since the 90s?

Now this I can answer, Studio D (Inside Politics/The Lead) replaced the former Capitol View Set, which featured the windows.

I recall there being a arrow shaped like wooden desk in that studio at one point when Fredricka Whitfield anchored weekend Newsroom from it. Looked atrocious on air. Unfortunately I can't find the clip.

Also - circling back to the various new appointments and schedule shuffling - where will the extra hour come from on Sunday when Acosta picks up his 3 hours? Sure they'd not cut Fredricka Whitfield's hours.

'Live news' doesn't commence on CNN Domestic until 2pm Eastern as it is with Reliable, SOTU and GPS taking up 6 hours of specialist programming. I'm hoping it's a report that gets the chop and not one of Fred's hours.

Does anyone know if it's possible, or does anyone happen to have access to, a recording of today's (19 February) 13:30 GMT edition of World Sport? I'm after the interview with Hsieh Su-Wei if possible.
