I don't really like it. It looks overdone in parts and underdone in others. I don't really like the images on the plasma screen on the left of the set (behind Monita Rajpal)... I assume they're going to show images from 3 of the top stories of the day, but it just seems a bit silly to have those images over a presenter's shoulder while they're talking about something totally different.
It also appears that there's a second presentation area beyond that - when you see the really wide shot of the studio, you can see platforms off to the left.
OMG I am so dissapointed, no newsroom just some screens, all white and bright, to match the new graphics. This set could be good for the morning show like CNN Today but not for every show. I hope they have another one with the newsroom, but it looks like the newsroom is not part of the sets anymore. What about Atlanta, they are my only hope, now.

Interesting - didn't realise CNN used ROBOTIC cameras (like the BBC used to use in the "cut glass blue virtual" era), rather than REMOTE cameras (as the BBC use now)
You can tell they are robots because the bases of the peds are much deeper, and there are bar codes mounted on the studio walls to allow the peds to know where they are (they bounce lasers off them to read the bar codes AIUI)
The difference between a robot and a remote is that robots move around the studio on their own, whereas remotes have to to be physically relocated. Both have remote pan, tilt, zoom and focus, and usually (though not always) elevate controls.
