CNN International & Domestic

I see Amanpour is moving to 7.00 pm from today taking the slot normally occupied by Hala Gorani Tonight.

Turns out the 3 hours of Newsroom after CTW is a Domestic Simulcast so an hour of international coverage is actually lost in the afternoon since CTW is 2 hours.

I understand these changes are temporary due to the impact of coronavirus on the ability for staff to come into work. Have to say, impressed with CNN's ability to keep what they've got going, even on the US side, in incredibly challenging circumstances.
One of CNNI's key audiences are expat Americans, so that audience will be enjoying more US focused news.
The 6 hr block of Newsroom is during primetime evening TV where I am so I'm enjoying the rolling news!

Not seen this before, CNN promoting their online 'live stream' for UK viewers during The Situation Room where the flipper usually airs during taped programming. Unless things have changed, CNN has one EMEA feed so it would mean a message for UK viewers going out across EMEA

This is a 'thing' Cuomo the journalist interviews Cuomo the NY Governor, the former, Chris the younger brother of the latter Andrew.

Similarly but not, last weekend Reeta Chakrabarti interviewed Shami Chakrabarti, and with a smile they both confirmed they are not related

Interesting that CNN/I's 'flipper' has been missing from domestic simulcasts for several hours now. Even the weather bar on New Day shows US cities only and temperatures in Fahrenheit. What's going on?

Also, it's clear that these 'stay at home' orders is affecting the news presenters but my question is if on-duty media practitioners are not exempt, then who controls the galleries or where/how are the galleries controlled? And don't these presenters need assistance from pros to set up the equipment, etc which can be anti-climatic when social distancing is the order of the day?

To come to think about it, before Hizon's return, CNNPH was the only major TV news organisation in the Philippines without a lead male presenter although it wasn't always like this. I wish though Hizon tried lis luck in CNA (a Singapore-based regional news outlet).

Following last night's fraternal Cuomo interview, CNN have revealed that Chris also has the virus.

I hope he gets well soon. I assume with him based in New York; he was literally in a bad place while he was trying to avoid the virus. Have CNN done any advance planning for deep cleaning his studio along with other studios in New York as a precautionary measure?

I wish him a speedy recovery but I am much more worried for his mom (the former NY state first lady) whom the older Cuomo suggested visited the younger one's house.

It feels like they all live in the same apartment.
