Rumours swirling that CNN plans to pull its affiliate from long-time Indian affiliate CNN-IBN. No indication as to why this happening. (LOL I think its those insane headache inducing lower thirds. LOL) Also that there could be some kind of link-up with ZeeTV.
This also explains why they've gone with "IBN Live" rather than CNN-IBN
Yeah, it's the European morning slot, first block currently presented by John Vause and Zain Asher. Vause will move to LA along with Isha Sesay who will join him as new co-anchor.

Yet another change at CNNI...............when will it ever settle down?
Its interesting to note that the Weather features a background, instead of clouds or weather imagery, is similar to the graphics for CNN Tonight. It seems to me that this studio will certainly pull double duty when a CNN Anchor works from Atlanta. They can just pull up the ChromaKey floor and slide in one of the generic anchor desks that surely proliferate CNN Center since all domestic studio operations moved to CNN NYC.
But CNN US has it's ''new'' Atlanta set that's been used for a few months now. It's the old HNL set, half of it, to be precise. It's been refreshed and used for weekend New Day and Newsroom which still come from Atlanta. The other half of this set is still the same and is used by CNNI for 23.30 cet edition of World Sport
Thats certainly true and it looks like complete garbage. But its quite interesting this Weather Centre set is very "generic" in appearance. So I wouldnt doubt it may pull double duty at some point. Weather no longer has a huge presence on CNN Domestic any longer. Only during major events. But seeing as this is at CNN Center and not in CNN NYC, it probably wont get much use on air like most things outta CNN Center. So i think it has some versatility for other things.

It seems that CNN Espanol has taken over the old HLN portion of the set that is in Studio H. THis is the same set used for CNNi WORLD SPORT. CNN CAFE will take over and CNN DEPORTES has already been using it. Remember the opposite side of the set is the hideous CNN NEW DAY/NEWSROOM Weekend set. So it makes sense that new Weather Centre is as generic as possible since Studio H is ramping up productions from CNN Espanol. Scheduling might be nutty. Why STUDIO7 was given to the failing HLN instead of CNNI dumbfounds me. The mess that currently is in Studio H needs to be completely ripped out. But CNN seems to be in transition with CNN NYC looking to move soon. Everything seems to be in a holding pattern even stuff at CNN Center.
World Sport on CNNi moves into HLN's Studio 7. Leaving the jumbled mess of Studio H behind. This should have been given over to CNNi when CNN USA move weekday studio productions to CNN NYC
World Sport looks so good in it, graphics match the set perfectly.
HLN only uses this set for Morning Express and for less then 2 hours in the afternoon so CNNI could easily put all of it's shows there, especially double headed Today and Newsroom.
The primary use is for the CNN Espanol program CNN CAFE. Hideous. But it matches the other side that is used for CNN New Day and NewsRoom Weekend. I do remember seeing the ugly goldframed monitor used on NewsRoom weekend last week. So it seems as thought the whole set might be used for CNN Domestic programs as well. Since the whole things matches. What a mistake. UGH.
