Does this mean we'll see 'Jamie' Rubin back on Sky news? Oh please say yes...and hopefully we can relive the glory days and get Richard Littlejohn back too!
Interesting to see how Amanpour will be presented from London, as I think they only have the one studio, plus the contribution point, unless they've built another set elsewhere. The handover between Quest and Amanpour could become quite interesting.
^ She already did it a few times from London when she was there visiting, from the main desk if I remember right. I hope her return there will bring CNN London more attention and hopefully a new set in near future. Lately Hong Kong seems to be more prominent.
Another IMPORTANT piece of info. CNN Newsroom London will be in full widescreen from Monday, it's been confirmed by CNN insiders. Now I don't know if this means that Hong Kong output or even temporary Atlanta one will also be widescreen on Monday. It would make sense but then again, CNN tends to do these relaunchs in long, stretched out phases.... We'll have to wait and see.
It will mean that during European Primetime, London will be seen at least as much if not more than Atlanta will, which is a great improvement.
Great news on the widescreen front. We know that all the main centres are HD ready, all the HD galleries have been made operational, it is just a case now of actually putting the widescreen output on the air. Hopefully, they will also put Quest and CTW in widescreen on Monday too.

At a guess the pre-Amanpour headlines may have to be done either from the newsroom by the Connect the World presenter, or from Atlanta?

and HD maybe?
Strangely the channel on Sky which I thought it would appear on has now disappeared so maybe its not happening.
We will see if CNNI HD happens on Sky and Freesat. The more important thing is to get the live programming on CNNI in widescreen, which means that HD will be a real possibility.
Watching CNN Newsroom with Manisha Tank in London, and It seems they are using a unified concept for their presentations... since the opening of WBT and CNN Newsroom looks definitely similar.
EDIT: Interesting graphic scheme for Weather...
Will other CNNI centres now be airing in Widescreen? (or HD here in Asia?)
Yes, they are huge, hopefully they will make them smaller.
CNN Newsroom has a nice, clean look. Love the color combo and backgrounds. It's using the WR music though. From June 17. CNN Newsroom will replace World Report and become the new branding for none prime time bulletins. That's also when the new Atlanta set will debut, I assume.
