Are CNNI going down the BBC World News route of anchoring all bulletins from their headquarters maybe? It's bizarre how the London studio is being used less and less.

Is there a timetable for CNNI going HD? That might be the reasoning?

I don't think so. In the last schedule change, London has taken over doing some weekday 10.30pmUK time World Sports, so it's not all cutbacks. And Hong Kong gained slightly with extended World Business Todays

Errol Barnett has been live from Abu Dhabi all week on Prism. Wonder if he is indeed the replacement for Stan.

I doubt it, they are probably still working out who to appoint there and he's just filling in.

Zain set up her FB page and is really into it, updating photos and videos.

Also Connect the world has a FB page with great behind the scenes videos and photos.

Stan Grant already reporting from Beijing, so he must have moved there already. Errol Barnett still doing Prism from Abu Dhabi. I wonder if this means that he is going to be permanent. It's been quite a few weeks now and he is doing pretty well.

Monita Rajpal would also be good on Prism.

Errol did have a few (3?) weeks off when he went back to Atlanta and Nic Robertson did Prism instead

The delightful Errol Barnett is still doing Prism from Abu Dhabi. Tonight, he interviewed Hala Gorani in the Prism studio in Abu Dhabi, related to ongoing issues in the Middle East and specifically the political situation in nearby Bahrain.

Hala confirmed that she will be hosting the International Desk (iDesk) from Abu Dhabi all this week. How nice.

Not only Hala and Errol anchoring their respective programmes from Abu Dhabi this week, but Richard Quest also hosted QMB from Abu Dhabi bureau last night.

Is there anyone left in Atlanta and London???

CNN's management lunatics strike again!

From next week Hala's IDesk will be cut short to 30 minutes (she doesn't sound thrilled about this on Twitter either). This is cause they are extending Prism to a full hour so now IDesk will suffer cause they have to have a slot for a taped sponsored show. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Also apparently they will hire someone new and surprising to do Prism. Rolling Eyes

I really can't believe what these morons are doing to the channel. Another new thing is that from this week European mornings are even worse. WBT is moved to an hour later at 10am CET and at 9am they air a taped World Sport. Shocked

This is how it looks:

7am World Report (Atlanta)
9am World Sport (taped from Atlanta)
10am World Business Today (HK/London)
11am Larry King
12amm World Report

... so basically there's no real news bulletin from 9 till 12.

"Someone new and surprising to do Prism"??

Errol is perfectly good at doing Prism. What are they doing, trying to decimate this channel?
